Arts Worker Training

In our continued mission to support economic development and culturally strong best practice Indigenous art enterprises, IACA is working towards delivering an Arts Worker training program to extend arts workers professionally.

QLD is the only state in the country not to have a dedicated Arts Worker training program, putting them at a huge disadvantage. IACA aims to provide a program with a balanced professional development focus on accredited online training, mentoring, workplace support, career pathways and hands-on Industry experience with partner venues in QLD and interstate. Now, during COVID-19, specific digital training will help our network more than ever.

IACA programs and events receive financial assistance from the Queensland Government through the Arts Queensland Backing Indigenous Arts initiative, from the Federal Government’s Ministry for the Arts through the Indigenous Visual Arts Industry Support program and the Indigenous Languages and Arts program and the Australia Council for the Arts. IACA supports the Indigenous Art Code.
